St.
Matthew 11:12
Evangelist
Valerie Stewart
is the founder and president of Taking It By Force Outreach Ministries,
Inc. She began to return to her hometown of Taylor, MS in December 2004
to carry out Spiritual Warfare revivals and youth conferences. The
enemy turned up the heat on the people who came out to the services by
causing great sicknesses to the point of death, which came upon her
sister, a praise team member, and others in the community. She was
troubled and thought to herself that she would stay away thinking all
the trouble would cease. However, God spoke to her through her then 9
year old daughter telling her that “the devil is mad at you
for
opening the people’s eyes and I know you think you are the
cause
for all that’s going on back home.” Her daughter
told her
“but whenever you get discouraged, just begin singing this
song I
went to the enemy’s camp and I took back what he stole from
me.” On the way to work that same morning, the Lord spoke to
Valerie telling her that “yes, the Kingdom of God suffereth
violence, but the violent taketh by force.” He told her that,
“the enemy has turned up the heat, but you must turn up the
heat
also.” She could not shake this scripture for months and in
July
2005, she founded this ministry based on St. Matthew 11:12 as she felt
the Lord was leading her to do so.
Since then, she has held many
more
conferences in MS, AL, Wisconsin, and Ohio. She is continuing to travel
nationally and internationally with attempts to open the
people’s
eyes to their real enemy, the devil and his demons. Such a strange and
unique ministry for someone who didn’t believe that demons
even
existed in this day and time just a few years ago according to the way
she was taught in the church back home.
The ministry has held revivals
during
the evenings and youth workshops during the day for 5 days
consecutively in MS with Valerie both preaching at night and teaching
during the day. Even though she solicited help and people told her they
would come and help, all had something to come up, but Valerie knew God
was stretching and grooming her for this end time work. The ministry
also awards scholarships to the C & D average students who
desire
to attend college or a trade school and she believes in helping the
underdog. The first scholarships were awarded to two students in her
home church in MS in August 2005. The ministry has also hosted a Grief
Seminar for the four families who lost their daughters in the Lee High
school bus tragedy in February of this year. Scholarship monies were
given to each family who lost a child.
She is excited about all that
God has
done and is continuing to do through her and this ministry. What an
awesome joy to witness salvations, signs and wonders and the consuming
grace and love of the Almighty at work in His people.
